Steven Robert Comisar (born 1961) is an American Actor and former iconic con man. He is best known as the only Hollywood actor who is also a famous con artist. Growing up in Beverly Hills, California, Steve began acting at a young age, appearing in many movies, television shows and commercials. In the 90’s Steve became famous as the golden tongued con artist who mesmerized wealthy investors into handing over $30 million dollars, most of which was spent on fast cars, faster women and high stakes gambling. The FBI placed him in the top ten con men of all time. After a brief stint in Club-Fed Steve reinvented himself as Brett Champion and parlayed his con man celebrity brand into dozens of guest appearances on television talk shows and news magazine programs. Steve wrote the bestselling book, America’s Guide to Fraud Prevention which is now the gold standard of the fraud industry. His CBS television special In the Mind of…Con Artists went on to receive enormous ratings and high critical acclaim. Cementing himself as America’s foremost authority on fraud, Steve starred in Making Crime Pay, a documentary film that is now used to train the FBI, CIA, and Secret Service. As the crowning achievement Steve became the on-camera fraud correspondent on Dateline NBC and The View. In 1992 Steve signed with a legendary talent agent, Barry Freed, and dedicated his full-time efforts to acting. He landed a co-starring role in the high action thriller Tough Luck starring Norman Reedus and Armand Assante. Steve’s promising acting career was put on hold by another unscheduled visit to Club-Fed. Now a free man once again Steve is on a mission to reignite his acting career by seeking the assistance of Hollywood A- Listers who also did time like Mark Wahlberg, Robert Downey Jr., Wesley Snipes, Martha Stewart, Christian Slater and Danny Trejo. The media took great interest in the story and did numerous interviews and ran many news articles.
